Certifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification are preferred.
CNOR, CPAN, CSPM, or obstetric-related specialty certifications highly desirable preferred
Education
✓Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration (MHA/MBA), or related field preferred
Qualifications
✓Supervisory Experience: Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or management experience demonstrating ability to:
✓Plan, organize, and direct staff
✓Evaluate performance
✓Develop and implement workflows
✓Solve complex administrative and clinical problems
✓Applicants must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under the federal law for unrestricted employment and at the time of appointment intend to reside in the State of Hawaii during the course of employment with the Hawaii Health Systems Co
✓VETERAN’S PREFERENCE: If you are claiming Veteran’s Preference, you must submit a copy of your DD214 and/or other substantiating documents specifying the periods of your service.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible acute care nursing experience, preferably in surgical or perinatal services preferred
Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills preferred
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of surgical, obstetric, and sterile processing standards. preferred
Works effectively with interdisciplinary teams and providers preferred
Is proficient with hospital information systems and technology preferred
Possesses excellent critical-thinking and decision-making skills preferred
Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to patient safety. preferred
