✓Coding certification by either AAPC or AHIMA.
CPC-H certification. preferred
Education
✓Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent.
Qualifications
✓Must be at least 18 years of age.
✓Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience (gradual increase into supervisory responsibility over a period of three (3) years can be substituted).
✓Prior chargemaster experience.
✓Ability to operate a computer, 10-key calculator, electronic typewriter and other office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
✓Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of MGRMC staff and support personnel.
✓Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
✓An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
✓Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
✓Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.
✓Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds.
✓Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.
✓Minimum of four (4) years hospital experience required, two (2) year hospital billing and two (2) year hospital coding.
Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems. preferred
