We’re looking for a Director of Physical Therapy to oversee the daily operations of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Services. In this role, you’ll be responsible for clinical operations, staffing, quality, financial management, and regulatory compliance while supporting safe, coordinated, high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Oversee Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Services operations, including clinical care, staffing, quality, and financial management. Manage and supervise Rehabilitation Services department staff. Implement strategies, processes, and standards to support quality of care and patient safety.
Coordinate care between disciplines and support staff. Attend Care Conferences and other management meetings as needed. Support MDS and other clinical meetings to promote continuity of resident care.
Develop budgets, oversee expenses, and ensure fiscal responsibility. Support program development and implementation. Maintain departmental and hospital policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Ensure services meet applicable legal, regulatory, and fiscal guidelines. Promote the safety and well-being of patients and staff through proper equipment use, body mechanics, safe patient handling, infection control, safety drills, and safety inspections. Assign patients to staff therapists and review patient progress.
Oversee admission criteria for Acute Rehabilitation Unit admissions and clinical care delivery. Evaluate, plan, and document appropriate physical therapy treatment, including recommendations to physicians. Support standardization and cost-containment efforts to reduce controllable costs and enhance revenue.
Collaborative Teamwork This role works closely with healthcare professionals and support staff to coordinate patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
