✓With an enrollment of over 1,100 students, NMC is small enough to truly care about each student and large enough to provide outstanding undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs in nursing and allied health.
✓Knowledge of federal and state reporting and compliance requirements, including NSLDS, National Student Clearinghouse, IPEDS, and veteran and international student certification.
Education
✓Bachelor's degree in records management, business administration, education administration, or a related field required.
✓Advanced skill in utilizing Parchment for electronic transcript and diploma processing or similar software.
✓Skill in using degree audit, document imaging, and online registration systems.
✓Comprehensive knowledge of registrar operations, including registration, grading, transcripts, academic records, degree audit, transfer credit, graduation clearance, and enrollment reporting.
✓Ability to oversee the graduation committee and commencement ceremonies, including degree clearance and graduation planning.
Master's degree in higher education administration, public administration, business administration, or education preferred.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in registration and records management in a higher education setting required; seven years preferred.
✓Minimum of one year of lead or supervisory experience required.
✓Experience with student information systems (SIS) and online student registration systems required.
✓Skill in leading and developing staff, including supervising, training, and fostering a service-oriented team culture.
✓Skill in developing and improving policies, procedures, and the academic catalog, and leading process improvement and change.
✓Skill in managing multiple projects and competing priorities during peak periods such as registration, grade submission, and commencement.
✓Skill in communicating clearly, both in writing and verbally, with students, faculty, staff, and senior leadership, including handling sensitive situations tactfully.
✓Skill in maintaining accurate student records and attention to detail across large volumes of data.
✓Knowledge of FERPA and other student records and privacy regulations.
✓Knowledge of accreditation standards and their impact on academic records and policy.
✓Knowledge of academic calendar development and course scheduling processes.
✓Knowledge of records retention and data security best practices.
✓Ability to provide strategic leadership and oversight of registration, records, transcript request, and graduation operations.
✓Ability to interpret and apply policy consistently, advise leadership on policy and compliance risk, and escalate exceptions appropriately.
Experience with Jenzabar (EX or One) student information systems preferred.
Advanced skill in building queries, reports, and data audits within a student information system, preferably Jenzabar (EX, One, and/or Web), and using Excel to analyze data and communicate insights to leadership. preferred
