Analyzes data from patient safety incidents and near misses. Designs a patient safety program with policies, procedures, and protocols aimed at reducing errors and enhancing patient safety. Ensures the program aligns with national and international standards and guidelines.
Implements the program across the organization, including training staff and integrating safety practices into daily operations. Continuously monitors the effectiveness of the program through regular audits, feedback, and performance metrics. Evaluates outcomes to identify successes and areas for further improvement.
Ensures compliance with standards and guidelines set by regulatory bodies, accreditation organizations, and best practice frameworks. Provides ongoing education and training for staff on patient safety principles and practices. Establishes clear reporting mechanisms for safety incidents and near misses.
Communicates findings and improvements to all stakeholders, including staff, patients, and regulatory bodies. Leads a multidisciplinary team to foster a culture of safety. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Skilled in the identification and prevention of potential risks, including complaint resolution. [Required]Extensive experience in the investigation and analysis of incidents and claims. [Required]Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
