You’ll need
Education
✓A High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associates Degree in Health Information Technology preferred
Qualifications
✓(Experience)
✓2+ Years of HIM healthcare experience.
✓Strong computer, data entry and office management skills
✓Strong customer service skills to interact positively with internal and external customers
✓Exceptional communication skills with both patients and clinical staff to ensure information is transferred accurately and timely.
✓Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple responsibilities and handle interruptions
✓Strong organizational skills to keep patient information confidential and organized
✓Problem-solving skills for scheduling conflicts, missing documentation or issues as they arise
✓Attention to detail to ensure all patient information is accurate and available
✓Compassion to help patients and caregivers in difficult situations
✓Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
Prior experience with an electronic medical record (EMR), Meditech EMR desirable. preferred
Scheduling experience within a fast-paced environment is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with medical terms and technology preferred
Previous experience with Meditech Expanse, Optum AccuReg, or other EMR/Patient Access software solutions preferred
