About the role

Partner with members of the inpatient birth team to identify patients amenable to doula care and services on the labor and delivery and postpartum units (10%)

What you’ll do

Model and encourage effectiveModel and encourage effective communication and support informed decision making (20%)
Provide non-medical comfort techniquesProvide non-medical comfort techniques for labor, including but not limited to positioning and movement, comforting touch, visualization, breathing techniques, affirmation, and aromatherapy (30%)
Support and assist breastfeedingSupport and assist breastfeeding initiation (5%)
Answer general questions aboutAnswer general questions about and assist with non-medical infant care (10%)
