Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Hanover, PA area. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live safely, independently, and meaningfully within their communities.
Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes and community settings Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping Support individuals with community engagement, recreation, and social activities Promote independence while maintaining a safe and supportive environment Transport clients to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed Document services and report any concerns to supervisors according to company policies Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, and team members Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Valid driver's license required Must have a reliable personal vehicle available for work-related transportation Proof of current auto insurance Ability to pass required background screenings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous caregiving, DSP, home care, healthcare, or human services experience is preferred but not required Benefits Competitive
