Job Overview: Along with other core team members, the Early Intervention Social Worker evaluates develops an Individual Family Service Plan for each child and provides direct services to children with delays in the areas of physical, cognitive, communication, social, emotional, and adaptive development.
The Social Worker acts long with other team members to instruct parents, meets with other team members to plan and evaluate the program, to problem solve, to discuss progress of each child and prepare a transition plan when appropriate.
Required: Master Degree in Social Work Minimum of one years experience in child focused setting, and field experience in health care of special education setting Sound background in normal child development Knowledge of the educational and therapeutic value of an early intervention for handicapped children Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent interpersonal skills Good planning and organizational skills Travel throughout Middlesex and Mercer Counties Licenses &
