Full time · Day Performs echocardiograms and vascular studies. Responsible for own practice within legal, ethical and professional boundaries. Maintains clinical expertise in area; demonstrates proficiency in performing skills within scope of practice.
Serves as a role model by demonstrating positive team base behaviors. Successful completion of probation and annual skills/competency requirements. Shows commitment to personal professional growth through the pursuit of advanced knowledge and skills.
Regular and timely attendance is required for this position. Performance of duties will be in compliance with all laws and regulations governing healthcare organizations. Provides direct patient care and evaluates outcome.
Assess patient as appropriate for procedure and monitor patients during and after procedure. Performs all echo/vascular imaging services provided in the department according to policy and procedure and as directed by physician to demonstrate structures for interpretation and/or therapeutic interpretation. Performs exams using DI COM Procedures.
Completes reporting according to CVIS workflow. Evaluates results of procedures and patient response and takes action accordingly. Performs duties and responsibilities such that delays are prevented and/or minimized.
Provides safety measures for patients undergoing procedures. Monitors quality control of equipment and participates in continuing quality improvement in the assigned division. Evaluates images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded.
Assumes responsibility for equipment in assigned area and reports any malfunctions. Participates in CQI activities. Performs specific quality control duties as assigned.
Communicates patient/family healthcare needs to the appropriate healthcare provider. Timely reporting of variances or significant events/results to the appropriate caregiver. Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
High School or GED; Preferred is Associate's Degree Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program

Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or registry eligible and complete registry within 4 months of employment in both Echo and Vascular Imaging
