Certifications
CPA or CMA preferred.
Education
✓Bachelors degree required.
Bachelor-s degree with a Business or Economics major preferred.
Masters degree in Business Administration with financial focus, Health Care Administration, Public Health or other related field strongly preferred.
Demonstrated equivalent experience with Bachelors degree will be considered. preferred
Qualifications
✓Minimum eight (8) years of experience in financial planning, modeling, analysis, strategic planning or equivalent required.
✓Expertise in capital planning and analysis, financial modeling. Thorough knowledge of process and tool enhancements, optimization and financial systems integration.
✓Leadership and talent management experience, five or more years required. Expertise in motivating and developing high performing staff.
✓Experience leading financial planning process changes from concept through implementation.
✓Strong ability to analyze, understand and communicate complex issues and capital cases required. Strong ability to manage in a dynamic environment required.
✓Executive presence and excellent communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills required.
✓Demonstrated history of developing and leading high performing teams.
✓Demonstrated history in providing financial leadership in a large, complex business, serving as a strategic business partner to the senior team.
✓Demonstrated history of leveraging information technology strategies for financial transaction and decision support systems.
✓Ability to build effective partnerships and influence other leaders.
✓Ability to consistently demonstrate integrity, prudence, high energy, initiative, and self-confidence.
✓Dedication to maintaining and building an inclusive culture and values aligned with principles of diversity. Specific experience/qualifications include the following:
Experience with data management, business intelligence and benchmarking preferred.
Prefer at least three (3) years experience in analytical role in health insurance industry. preferred
Prefer three (3) years of corporate financial planning including capital budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis experience. preferred
A background in a capital intensive or IT intensive industry may be considered. preferred

About the role

The Executive Director of Capital Planning leads the Enterprise capital planning processes in collaboration with Regional, National Shared Service and Program Office financial planning SVPs, VPs, and directors, and ensures that the capital plan is aligned with the enterprises Strategic Plan and Long Range Economic Plan.
