Licensure
✓Active Connecticut medical license and DEA registration required.
✓New York medical license required within six months of hire (licensure costs covered by the hospital).
✓Board-Eligible candidates will be considered.
Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred
Education
✓Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
Qualifications
✓Experience providing psychiatric care within an Emergency Department (ED) and/or Consultation-Liaison (C/L) Psychiatry service.
✓Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment.
✓Experience performing a full range of psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and therapeutic interventions.
Experience or specialized training in Addiction Psychiatry preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills. preferred
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. preferred
