Electrician-Full Time-Days

Install, maintain and repair equipment and systems for the storage, transmission, distribution, control, utilization, and conservation of electrical energy. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Conduct preventive maintenance in accordance with the established scheduling systemInspect, diagnose, test, install, maintain and repair electrical equipmentConduct routine rounds of the facility and perform a variety of routine service and repair tasks to monitor and maintain electrical systems and equipmentMake necessary repairs and maintain essential electrical life safety systems including but not limited to, fire alarm system, emergency generators, switchgear, transfer switches, etc.

Complete in-service for physical plant, building, HVAC and Life Safety systems and equipmentParticipate in performance improvement and information management activitiesInvestigate incidents involving the physical plant, electrical systems/equipment and components, utility system components and equipment and makes recommendations to supervisorProvide technical assistance to department staff by trouble shooting and resolving problems associated with the operation and repair of the physical plant, electrical systems/equipment and components and utility system components and equipmentPerform periodic inspections of mechanical and electrical rooms and corrects physical plant, building and life safety deficienciesOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent requiredTrade or vocational school graduate requiredElectrician's license preferredValid North Carolina driver's license requiredWork

5 years of electrical maintenance related experience requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Ability to communicate with employees, patients, visitors, vendors, construction contractorsPhysical
