Licensure
✓Licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXIX (Public Health), Chapter 401 (Medical Telecommunications and Transportation), Part III (Medical Transportation Services).
✓Note : All certificates and licenses must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.
Certifications
✓Passed monitor examination within six (6) months post-hire
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
✓Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Awareness certification.
✓Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) completion (16-hours) certification
✓Meets all current, applicable requirements in Florida Statutes, Title XXIX, Chapter 401, Part III and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64J-1 (Emergency Medical Services).
Education
✓High school diploma (or equivalent).
Qualifications
✓Florida Class “E” driver license.
Six (6) months of Emergency Care Technician I (JC: 770105) or Emergency Care Technician II (JC: 770205) experience (or equivalent) in an ED setting. preferred
