The Emergency Department Technician I role assists the healthcare team in organizing and implementing basic department activities such as stocking, results retrieval, and patient tracking. Under the guidance of the registered nurse, this role will perform patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, ECG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
High school graduate or GED preferred. License/Certifications: EMT-Advanced, EMT-Basic, Medical Assistant, or CNA certification required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
Less than six (6) months of experience as an Emergency Department Technician. The pay range for this position is $20.68 to $25.10 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
