Certifications
✓Current Iowa certification as an EMT, Iowa Advanced-EMT, or EMT-PM level required
Education
✓High school graduate or equivalent
✓Successful completion of EMS training from an approved training course
Qualifications
✓Valid Iowa driver’s license for at least three years with an acceptable or clear rating according to the Motor Vehicle Record chart. (see below).
✓Must have a minimum of two years driving experience with no record of DUI, DWI, or similar alcohol or drug related offenses over the past five years.
✓No record of reckless driving, careless driving, speeding over 15 miles above the speed limit, fleeing or eluding a police officer, chemical test refusal, leaving the scene of an accident, driving after revocation or suspension, or passing a stopped school bus in the last five years.

About the role

Assesses the needs of patients and families through the interpretation of written medical director protocols and creating an appropriate patient care plan within their scope of practice.
