✓Requirements
Licensure
✓St Luke’s Emergency Transport Services (SLETS) has been providing high-quality emergency medical services to the communities in and around the Lehigh Valley for more than 30 years and is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
✓SLETS is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health to specifically provide basic life support (BLS), advanced life support (ALS) and critical care/specialty care transportation.
Certifications
✓Upon completion of an EMT program, state certifications, and EVOC certification, an EMT apprentice may have the following options extended:
✓As related to the current progression of the EMT class, will demonstrate competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
✓Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
✓Additionally, you are encouraged to upload a current resume, including all work history, education, and/or certifications and licenses, if applicable.
Education
✓High School Diploma required.
✓Currently enrolled in and in good standing of an accredited or Authorized Pennsylvania Department of Health EMS Emergency Medical Technician Training Program required.
✓St. Luke's University Health Network
Qualifications
✓Tact courtesy, initiative, judgment and the ability to follow directions is required.
✓Driver requirements (PA DOH Requirement).
✓Be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
✓Must observe all traffic laws.
✓Must not be addicted to, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
✓Must be free from any physical or mental defects or disease that may impair the person’s ability to drive an ambulance.
