You’ll need
Licensure
✓Graduation from an accredited medical school with an M.D., D.O., or MBBS degree and completion of an approved Emergency Medicine training program with board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine, or completion of an approved Pediatric Residency training program with acute care
✓Licensure & Certification: Licensed as an MD in Connecticut.
✓Certificates to dispense controlled substances by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency and a permit from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Affairs.
Certifications
✓Skills that are included in basic and advanced cardiac life support, advanced trauma life support, basic life support, and pediatric advanced life support courses are examples of some of the skills required.
Education
✓M.D. or D. O. degree
Qualifications
✓Management of acutely ill and injured patients of all ages.
✓Proficiency in the use the departmental computer for patient management, order entry, patient tracking, and laboratory, radiology, and medical record retrieval is essential.
One year of related experience preferred.
