✓Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from an ECMCC approved provider within sixty (60) days of appointment and maintenance throughout duration of appointment.

✓Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, nursing assistant or hospital aide
✓Possession of thirty (30) semester credit hours from a school of professional nursing*
✓Completion of a course of study in a school of practical nursing approved by the New York State Education Department
