and Responsibilities As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician. Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit. To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.
Assists in implementing plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice. Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques, including (but not limited to): Basic Airway Management CPR Vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, oral and rectal temperature, Respirations, and pulse oximetry Electrocardiogram Job Requirements Required High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire and completion of one of the following that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program OR Medical Assistant program OR Certified Nursing Assistant Program, OR Licensed Practical Nurse program OR completion of one year of nursing school, upon hire or High School GED General Studies, upon hire Certified Nursing Assistant: WA, upon hire or Licensed Practical Nurse: WA, upon hire or Medical Assistant Certification: WA, upon hire or Registered Nursing Assistant: WA, upon hire and Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist: WA, within 6 - months Where You'll Work Virginia Mason Franciscan Health has a rich history of providing exceptional healthcare, dating back to 1891.
