You’ll need
Licensure
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Emergency Medical Technician(EMT) preferred.
Certifications
✓Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or completion of School of Nursing fundamentals required.
✓Completion of Emergency Medical Technician program may be considered in lieu of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
✓Other certifications required as listed in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care.
✓Basic Life Support(BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
Education
✓High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Qualifications
✓Demonstrates competencies in fundamentals of patient care and knowledge of scope of practice for unlicensed healthcare team members.
✓use computer, printer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Outlook, electronic medical record, event reporting system
✓troubleshoot patient care equipment

Minimum of six months experience as paramedic transport, telemetry technician, unit secretary or patient care assistant preferred.
Able to read, write legibly and speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality
