Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) is partnering with approved NJ EMS training centers to provide an opportunity for individuals looking to enter the healthcare field as an Emergency Medical Technician. Candidates of this role will be paid to attend the program. The cost of tuition and books will also be covered.
While the program is in session, students will have the opportunity to begin their Hackensack Meridian Health orientation and onboarding. Upon successful completion of the EMT program and NREMT examination, candidates will commit to a minimum of two years of employment at Hackensack Meridian Health as a full-time EMT. Upon successful completion of the EMT program and NREMT examination, candidates will commit to a minimum of two years of full-time employment as an EMT with Hackensack Meridian Health.
Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Licenses and Certifications Required: Valid Driver's License from a USA state. While performing duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions: and is frequently exposed to blood-borne pathogens or airborne particles, fumes and gasses, electrical and chemical hazards. Pre-employment and annual physicals will be provided to include appropriate immunizations as required, back screening and a PPD skin test for tuberculosis.
