✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Current license issued by the State of New Mexico Emergency Medical Service Bureau, as an Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate (EMT-I) is required.
Certifications
✓Summary of Major Duties for function as In-Hospital patient care EMT-I: Perfoms all functions of patient evaluation as required, including patient assessment within State Approved Scope of Practice.
✓Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities
✓Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications and various lead roles (for eligible positions)
✓Completion of the formal Emergency Medical Technicians-Intermediate (EMT-I) course is required.
✓Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required.
Education
✓High school or equivalent.
Qualifications
✓Staff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern)
✓Age requirement is 18.
✓Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions is required.
✓Maintains annual current department competencies and Employee Health Requirements.

1-2 years experience preferred.
