✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA preferred.
Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) through CBSPD or HSPA preferred.
Qualifications
✓Strong understanding of aseptic technique, infection control standards, sterilization methods, and prevention of microorganism transmission.
✓Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift or transport patients and heavy equipment.
✓Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step reprocessing protocols without taking shortcuts.
✓Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure clinical environments.

What you’ll do

Prepare sterile instrument traysPrepare sterile instrument trays, supplies, and medications as delegated, using aseptic technique and manufacturer guidelines
Rapidly identify and troubleshootRapidly identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize procedural delays and maintain on-time clinical schedules
Support gastroenterologists and surgeonsSupport gastroenterologists and surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs, passing instruments, operating specialized accessories, and managing suction or specimen retrieval within scope
