You’ll need
Certifications
✓Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program, Phlebotomy Technician program or equivalent health care experience.
✓Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within 60 days of hire.
✓Maintains BCLS competency.
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Qualifications
✓Minimum one-year Endoscopy Technician I experience
✓or two years of direct patient care experience
✓or one-year central service/sterile processing technician and 6 months of direct patient care experience.
✓Knowledge of or experience with electronic applications.
✓Knowledge in surgical or central service functions, including high-level disinfection process and intravenous catheterization, phlebotomy and/or GI endoscopy equipment and procedures.
✓Endoscopy Technician I experience as needed.
✓Knowledge of medical terminology.
✓Ability to follow written and verbal directions and multi-tasking.
✓Ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.
✓Experience performing multiple tasks within a work shift.
✓Works flexible hours to meet the demands of the work unit.
✓Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
✓Excellent communication skills.

About the role
The Endoscopy Technician II is responsible for performing delegated activities related to patient care and overall team support in the GI procedure room setting.
