You’ll need
Education
✓Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience within a hospital or acute-care healthcare environment.
✓Experience in one or more of the following areas:
✓Environment of Care
✓Healthcare safety
✓Life safety
✓Emergency management or preparedness
✓Regulatory compliance
✓Facilities or healthcare operations
✓Environmental health and safety
✓Ability to interpret policies, standards, and regulatory requirements and apply them within a healthcare environment.
✓Ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and leadership teams.
✓OSHA requirements
✓CMS requirements
✓Texas DSHS requirements
Knowledge or experience with The Joint Commission Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), Life Safety, and/or Emergency Management standards. preferred
Familiarity with one or more of the following: preferred
NFPA standards preferred
Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) preferred
Healthcare construction safety preferred
Infection prevention considerations related to construction preferred
Hazardous materials management preferred
Emergency preparedness preferred
Experience participating in regulatory surveys, accreditation readiness, inspections, or corrective action plans. preferred
Experience facilitating committees, managing projects, or leading process improvement initiatives within a healthcare setting. preferred
