Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, Missouri is hiring a Paramedic to work with our Emergency Room Department - someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve. Position Details Status: PRN Work
Varied Hours: Up to 12 hours every 2 weeks What Your Day Looks Like: You will support ER operations by maintaining a safe patient care environment and applying current nursing theory, principles of treatment, and proper procedures to treat Emergency Department patients. As a Paramedic, you will be: Assessing the patient; identifying physical, psychological, cultural, spiritual, and social needs Communicating significant data regarding the patient to the charge nurse and ED provider, and keeping patients informed about care and wait times Documenting in-patient and departmental records in a timely, accurate, and concise manner Administering medications as ordered by providers Performing clinical skills to include IV start, Nasogastric tube placement, venipuncture, urethral catheterization and EKG Performing hourly rounding to include vital signs, call light within reach, basic comfort items, etc.
Qualifications
Completion of an approved EMT-P training course; preferred education and training with 12 lead EKG, basic Arrhythmia, and NRP
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an EMS or in an emergency department setting
