You’ll need
Qualifications
✓0-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting including patient registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions required
✓Strong communication and customer service skills.
✓Knowledge of insurance verification and basic medical terminology.
✓Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
✓Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and registration software.
✓Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
✓Effective interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
✓Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or emergency situations.
Post-secondary education or training in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred
0-2 years of experience in customer service preferred

About the role
Seeking a full-time ER Registrar to support our Emergency Room Registration department at Northwest Medical Center, located on 6200 N La Cholla Blvd.
What you’ll do
Registers patients for emergencyRegisters patients for emergency services, obtaining all required personal, insurance, and medical information
Collects patient co-pays orCollects patient co-pays or deductibles when applicable and inform patients of financial obligations
Carefully documents on allCarefully documents on all forms if the patient is unable to sign the consent authorization forms or why a family member signs the forms and has nursing sign off if the patient is unable to sign
Compiles the necessary paperworkCompiles the necessary paperwork to ensure quick retrieval and processing of the patients visit
Places an armband onPlaces an armband on each patient before the patient leaves the department to ensure proper identification of the patient throughout their stay
