The Environmental Services team member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout patient rooms, clinical and non-clinical areas, offices, and public spaces. This position performs daily and discharge cleaning according to established hospital housekeeping procedures, infection prevention standards, and quality expectations. The team member supports a positive patient experience by completing assigned areas efficiently while demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail.
DUTIES: Prepares required cleaning equipment, supplies, and materials at the beginning of each shift and ensures necessary items are available throughout the workday. Performs daily cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, offices, clinical and non-clinical support areas, public spaces, and restrooms according to established procedures. Completes routine patient room cleaning within established turnaround expectations while maintaining required quality and sanitation standards.
Performs discharge room cleaning according to established procedures and promptly communicates room readiness to appropriate personnel. Collects, handles, and transports waste safely and in accordance with hospital, departmental, and infection-control guidelines. Maintains housekeeping equipment, carts, work areas, and supply closets in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Follows assigned work schedules, prioritizes responsibilities, and completes cleaning assignments efficiently while meeting established quality benchmarks. Provides courteous and professional service when interacting with patients, family members, visitors, and coworkers while supporting a clean and welcoming healthcare environment. JOB
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
