The Lead EVS Technician is responsible for coordinating and directing daily operations of the staff engaged in providing services in the surgical services area. Lead is responsible for providing leadership to the staff and directing the daily operations and work assignments coordinating with department leadership, nursing staff and physicians to accommodate cleaning and floor work to meet business needs.
- The Lead EVS Technician is responsible for coordinating and directing daily operations of the staff engaged in providing services in the surgical services area. Lead is responsible for providing leadership to the staff and directing the daily operations and work assignments coordinating with department leadership, nursing staff and physicians to accommodate cleaning and floor work to meet business needs. The Lead EVS Technician performs human resource functions to include interviewing, orientation and training, provide input on performance appraisals and coaching and mentoring while coordinating with Leadership and Human Resources. Essential Job Functions
- Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
- Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment using hand and power tools and precision-measuring and testing. Performs all types of other miscellaneous repairs.
- Provides leadership and supervision to direct reporting staff, and departments assisting with professional and technical job related issues, resolution of problems, issues or concerns that may arise from questions received from the staff while maintaining a focus on quality outcomes. Responsible for timely response to staff requests for assistance due to increased or high volumes.
- Assists in interviewing, orientation, training, coaching of staff. Coordinates and facilitates peer interview processes. Provides input to the performance review process.
- Cleans and services areas within Billings Clinic. May be assigned to clean in one or more areas within the Billings Clinic campus to include cleaning occupied and discharged patient rooms, isolation rooms, patient care areas including physician’s offices, surgery, dialysis, radiology, etc., public access areas, waiting rooms, offices, stairwells, elevators, restrooms and laundry
- Moves furniture and equipment within Billings Clinic and to offsite storage as necessary. Change curtains and drapes as needed.
- May perform laundry services for specific areas of the organization. Duties include but are not limited to coordinating the daily laundry service needs with departments; collection, sorting and weighing of soiled laundry, linen and garments; fold, count, stack and distribution of clean laundry and linen garments.
- Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements
- Understands and utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality. Perform quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
- Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance and ensuring staff compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
