The Exercise Physiologist evaluates cardiac patients, plans and implements a cardiac rehabilitation program. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM
Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field from an accredited college or university PREFERRED
MINIMUM
12 week internship in cardiac rehabilitation PREFERRED
1-2 years experience with exercise prescription in a clinical setting REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: American College of Sports Medicine – Clinical Exercise Physiologist REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
