Education
✓Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology
Qualifications
✓Less than 1 year of clinical practice
✓Knowledge of and ability to assess clients and design exercise programs to enhance physical fitness, to promote health by reducing the risk of developing chronic disease and to ensure safety during exercise sessions.
✓Knowledge of the prevention and treatment of intentional or unintentional injuries, ability to implement emergency procedures in accordance with appropriate safety plans.
✓Knowledge of the human body's reactions and changes under acute and chronic exercise conditions, ability to measure, assess and adapt physiology during exercise.
✓Knowledge of therapeutic methods and skills to develop, maintain and restore the optimal movement and functional ability of clients/patients, ability to skillfully deploy methods and skills in therapeutic cases to enhance the quality of life.
✓Knowledge of the theories and methodologies for therapeutic progress assessment, ability to assess therapeutic progress to achieve therapeutic goals and ensure patient safety.
✓Knowledge of and ability to provide or facilitate rehabilitation services to manage injuries and help injured people reclaim living or working capabilities.
