Here’s What You NeedBachelor’s Degree Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or related field required3 months experience in cardiac rehab preferredProficency in 12 lead interpretationBCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days requiredCCES - Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist Upon HireRCEP - Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Upon HireHere’s

Assess patient health risks, needs, and interests. Assist RN with patient assessment on admission to the program and assist with the development of comprehensive individualized exercise program. Provides instruction necessary for the safe and effective performance of exercise activities, and promotion of secondary prevention to individuals who are limited by cardiac disease to improve functional capacity and lower cardiovascular risk factors.

Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs. Competent in the use of Scott Care telemetry, obtaining accurate HR, BP, RR, and cardiac rhythm. Demonstrates proficiency in the setup and operation of all monitoring and exercise equipment.

Plans, implements, evaluates documents patient education. Completes shift assignments for equipment maintenance, and all other tasks related to maintaining a safe and clean environment. Seeks assistance/ supervision/ consultation as needed and reports to supervisor any problems and/or solutions regarding delivery of services.

Provides administrative support as needed, including but not limited to assisting patients with registration for cardiac rehab, receiving phone calls, providing information on cardiac rehab services, scheduling appointments, organizing charts, etc. Assists with quality control procedures.
