Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, safety and environment of care programs, and infection control standards. Performs basic clinical procedures, including: Incentive spirometry Bedside testing (e.g., blood glucose testing) Non-sterile dressing changes Oral suctioning Maintenance of aseptic technique when appropriate Provides personal care to patients. Monitors patient conditions and promptly reports changes to appropriate personnel.
Completes accurate and timely documentation of patient care information in the appropriate medical records. Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards. Supports and protects patient rights and responsibilities.
