✓Current MA Certification from one of the following: The American Medical Technology Association (AMT), The National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), The American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), The National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Certification, National
Certifications
✓AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.
✓Those candidates with NHA certification that qualified due to work experience rather than graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting Program will be required to have one (1) year of experience in Medical Assisting.
Education
✓High school diploma or GED.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. preferred
Qualifications
✓Must have basic knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions and procedures. Working knowledge of medical practice management information systems. Basic knowledge of physician office documentation standards. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and meet all HIPAA requirements.
