Fulton County Health Center is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our FCHC Urgent Care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients by performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, and prescribing treatments within their scope of practice. Key
Screen patients to determine their need for medical attention. Perform history taking and problem-focused physical exams. Conduct pre-operative full physical exams.
Diagnose orthopedic conditions. Record data in the patient electronic medical record. Assign durable medical equipment and refer for physical therapy as needed.
Perform injections, strapping, splinting, and casting for sprains and fractures, as well as remove such devices. Provide general wound care, including dressing and bandage application. Conduct pre-operative counseling as needed.
Prescribe narcotic and non-narcotic pain medications, anti-inflammatories, and anti-infectives when appropriate. Order and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and bone scans. Interpret laboratory results as well as diagnostic imaging results. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requirements Nurse Practitioner (NP): Registered Nurse with certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Physician Assistant (PA): Physician Assistant Certificate. Must hold an active State of Ohio license. CPR Certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required.
