As a Financial Analyst II, you will serve as a trusted financial partner to clinical and business leaders, leveraging advanced financial analytics, reporting, and modeling to support operational performance and strategic decision-making across BayCare. This role requires a highly analytical and technically skilled finance professional with expertise in advanced Excel, financial modeling, data extraction, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, developing complex models, identifying trends, and translating financial and operational data into actionable insights for leadership. In this role, you will: Independently manage financial responsibilities while collaborating with leaders across the organization. Serve as the primary financial liaison for assigned clinical and business service lines.
Research, analyze, and resolve moderately complex financial, accounting, and operational issues. Develop, enhance, and maintain financial reporting, forecasting, and accounting processes. Prepare and validate financial, operational, and regulatory reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support operating and capital budget development, long-range forecasting, and variance analysis. Build and maintain complex financial models used for strategic planning, budgeting, service line performance, and operational decision-making. Extract, validate, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data from multiple systems, databases, and reporting tools.
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functionality, including pivot tables, complex formulas, lookups, data validation, and large dataset management. Create meaningful financial analyses, dashboards, and presentations that effectively communicate findings to operational and executive leadership. Monitor adherence to capital asset management policies and procedures.
Coordinate Charge Master activities and support revenue integrity initiatives. Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities through detailed data analysis. Deliver exceptional customer service while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Build leadership capabilities by participating in and leading finance projects of increasing complexity.
Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) functions, reporting tools, and financial analytics. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot tables Complex formulas and functions VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP Data validation Financial modeling Large dataset management Demonstrated experience extracting, cleansing, validating, and analyzing data from multiple systems and databases.
Strong financial modeling and forecasting experience, including the ability to build and maintain complex analytical models. Experience developing financial reports, dashboards, trend analyses, and management reporting packages. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret complex financial and operational data and communicate findings to both financial and non-financial leaders. Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with leaders across the organization. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred CPA certification. Experience in healthcare finance, reimbursement, budgeting, financial planning, or accounting. Experience with business intelligence, data visualization, and reporting platforms.
Experience supporting clinical operations, service lines, or healthcare leadership teams. Experience presenting financial analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.
