Education
✓Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
✓Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training 2-4 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications
✓Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and good business practices, accounting principles and cost accounting standards.
✓Previous experience with processing financial journals and fund transfers.
✓Working knowledge of federal regulations governing research activity: OMB A-21, A110 and A- 133, including requirements for time and effort reporting.
✓Working knowledge of NIH policies governing the conduct of research.
✓Demonstrated organization skills and ability to prioritize assignments when faced with heavy workload and competing deadlines.
✓Proven ability to work independently and carry out assigned tasks reliably with minimal direction.
✓Demonstrated skills to independently analyze situations, interpret data, define problems and/or objectives, identify relevant factors, and formulate logical conclusions and recommendations.
✓Demonstrated skill in handling detailed transactions throughout tedious review and approval process.
✓Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of the campus community.
✓Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate in a professional manner in all circumstances.
✓Demonstrated ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
✓Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
✓Familiarity with faculty salary compensation processes.
✓As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct
✓received notice of any allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary proceedings involving misconduct
✓have left a position after receiving notice of allegations or while under investigation in an administrative or disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct
✓or have filed an appeal of a finding of misconduct with a previous employer.
