Responsible for mentoring and counseling patients with the financial aspects of ther accounts, particularly patients who are uninsured, under insured, or identify a need for financial assistance.

This includes but is not limited to, establishing payment plans, determining a need for other financial arrangements, determining patients’ eligibility for hospital-sponsored financial assistance and/or external sources such as state sponsored Medicaid programs, SSI, crime victims, etc. Assist supervisor/director with completion of Medicare BAD debt logs for finance and/or audits. Must also remain current with knowledge of the “collector” position and functions especially when back up is needed.
