About the role
This role is responsible for insurance verification, financial counseling, upfront collections, payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate patient financial records.
What you’ll do
Verify insurance benefits andVerify insurance benefits and audit admission paperwork for accuracy and completeness
Review and update patientReview and update patient demographic and insurance information in the patient accounting system
Counsel patients and guarantorsCounsel patients and guarantors regarding insurance coverage, benefits, out-of-pocket costs, and payment options
Collect deductibles, copays, coinsuranceCollect deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and other patient balances
Complete financial assistance applicationsComplete financial assistance applications and verify income and expense documentation
