Diploma or equivalent required 1 year of collections experience preferred 2 years of hospital admissions experience preferred CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate preferred upon hire CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 60 days of hire

Helps patients understand their insurance benefits, financial responsibilities, and available assistance programs in a compassionate and clear way.
Provides accurate cost estimates, set up payment plans, and assist with financial assistance applications.
Identifies potential coverage gaps and educate patients about their financial options before services are rendered. Insurance Verification & Pre-Authorization
Verifies insurance benefits and ensure pre-authorization requirements are met before scheduled services.
Assists patients with Medicaid applications, financial assistance forms, and public assistance programs.
Collaborates with clinical teams and patient navigators to ensure financial processes do not delay care. Additional perks of being a Texas Health Financial Counselor
