Responsible for the timely processing of insurance verifications on inquiry and referral calls. Will coordinate and process admission verifications into the hospital patient accounting system. Responsible for coordination between business office and the admission departments on all financial issues regarding admissions.
Job Duties/Responsibilities: Works with Business Office in coordination of benefits for patients to ensure that the patient has proper resources. Responsible for verification of eligibility of all funding sources for all potential patient admissions. Assists admissions with incoming calls and communicates/documents any follow-up needed by the admission department on appropriate admission paperwork.

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Preferred: Some college or degree from an accredited college or university in shealthcare or business related field, highly desirable.
Minimum two (2) year(s) of related experience in business office setting in a healthcare related field is required. A degree in a healthcare or business related field could be substitute for work experience. Business office work experience in a psychiatric hospital is preferred.
