You’ll need
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent required.
✓An associate degree or equivalent college coursework may substitute for the required one year of experience.
Qualifications
✓At least one year of experience in financial services, business operations, physician office settings, or customer service required.
✓Knowledge and experience validating patient demographics and insurance information required.
✓Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and telephone communication skills required.
✓Ability to collect patient payments professionally and courteously.
✓Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and demonstrate initiative.
✓Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
Two years of business, financial, or physician practice experience preferred.
Familiarity with CPT and diagnosis coding preferred.
