You’ll need
Licensure
✓Successful completion and maintenance of Department of State Health Services or National Registry approved Paramedic training program/certification/license.
✓Upon hire: Texas Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems, Or
✓Upon hire: Texas Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems
Within 6 months of hire: New Mexico Paramedic Certification preferred
Certifications
✓Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
✓Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
✓Upon hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
✓5 years recent experience as EMT-P with an active 911 service of flight service.
Upon hire: NREMT-P, or NRP preferred
Upon hire: BTLS or PHTLS provider certification preferred
Qualifications
✓Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
Within 2 years of hire: FP-C and / or CNPT Certification preferred
3 years experience in flight medicine preferred

About the role
Responsible for delivery of quality care for critically ill or injured in the air medical or ground transportation environment without supervision. Highly skilled in airway management, the most important skill in managing the pediatric specialty population, as this is the most prevalent type of pediatric patient moved, and the highest number of our requested transports.
