Float Certified Medical Assistant - Ambulatory Clinics - Full Time - 1st Shift

Under supervision of Center Manager will work independently to perform office responsibilities related to reception, registration and checkout of patients. Under supervision of physician/nurse practitioner, physician assistant, provides quality nursing care for assigned patients. Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills.

Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization. Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance. Exhibits the F.

Long periods in a stationary position and moving around the unit are required. Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain and assault. Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation and antineoplastic agents.

Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently. Contacts with Others Patient, family members and significant others, physicians and Associates, other healthcare providers, community resource personnel, administrative staff and Organizational support services .

Preferred one (1) year CMA experience in clinical setting with previous work history considered.

Graduate of an accredited CMA training program. Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations Current CMA Certificate in the State of Kentucky. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (successful completion within three [3] months of employment).
