You’ll need
Certifications
✓Current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant.
✓Current CPR training required.
Education
✓High school graduate or equivalent.
✓Completion of a state approved Nursing Assistant training program.
✓Completion of a formal nursing assistant, medical assistant or equivalent training program; or
✓Completion of a Fundamental Nursing registered nurse training program; or
✓Graduate of an international registered nurse equivalent program.
Qualifications
✓Effective oral and written communication skills.
✓Effective interpersonal relationship skills.
✓Ability to function effectively in a challenging environment.
✓Competent in tasks within the scope of practice of nursing assistant and have knowledge of medical terminology.
✓Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
✓Ability to use technology components, software, and/or programs to document data into electronic health records.
✓Six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
About the role
Functions as a key member of the nursing care team, participating in the implementation of select components of the patient’s plan of care as delegated by the Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, and department Director.
