Education
✓Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in
Qualifications
✓Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours), OR
✓Travelling to assist in donation retrieval and resource sharing may occasionally be required.
✓Must have some availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Fridays between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm.
✓Work will require regular moving of fresh, packaged, and frozen food and other items.
✓Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull approximately 50 lbs. repeatedly.
✓Must also be able to grasp and move small items and read expiration dates and other information on food packaging.
✓Must be able to push and pull carts holding up to 300 lbs. repeatedly.
✓Must be able to stand and walk for most of their shift.
✓Work will require handling food with common allergens, such as peanut butter or wheat flour.
At least 6 months remaining as an OHSU student eligible for a Student Worker position (preferably longer) preferred
Experience volunteering and/or working in a food pantry or related setting preferred
Experience with food safety preferred
Experience coordinating a project, program, or service preferred
Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as those experiencing hunger or financial insecurity preferred
Experience working with volunteers preferred
Experience outreach or communications preferred
Additional Details preferred
Work will occur primarily on-site at the Food Resource Center locations, located on Marquam Hill in OHSU’s Student Center and on the South Waterfront in the Robertson Collaborative Life Science Building. preferred
Some work may be done remotely. preferred
