Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Part-time, Rotating Shift, Food Service Worker for the Food Services Department. Food Service Workers are essential members of the food services team who offer support to the team and contribute in multiple ways, such as delivering nutritious meals and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. This position entails various responsibilities, including but not limited to preparing and assembling food according to dietary guidelines, safety and customer preferences, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, washing dishes, working as a cashier, meeting utility needs, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. As a Food Service Worker with Sentara, you work in the different aspects of delivering food to the patients.
Food Handlers Card required in the city of Norfolk Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Food Handlers Card - Certification as required by the local Health Department. The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.02 - $26.54 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
