Performs the spoken menu program in the Food Services department by meeting with patients to obtain food choices for meals daily. Other duties include delivery and collection of food trays; tray line responsibilities; stocking and cleaning of unit kitchens and other areas as assigned; delivery of tube feeding formula and supplies. May work in the kitchen or cafeteria as assigned.
Serves food both accurately and timely to patients according to departmental standards. Responds to patient needs in a timely manner. Coordinates customer menu selections within diet order specifications prior to mealtimes.
Demonstrates knowledge of special diets and allergy avoidance through education and competencies. Delivers patient meal trays by accurately following the menu and/or tray card and verifying patient by two approved identifiers.
