UT Health East Physicians, CVC Clinic is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner (or physician assistant) to join our cardiology team at UT Health East Texas Hospital. About the Position: Experience Preferred: While we are fully prepared to train the right individual, prior cardiology or acute care experience is highly preferred .
12 hour shifts, evenings, 11a-11p Inpatient only- no outpatient or clinic responsibilities Following a thorough orientation period, you will be the sole Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on-site during the evening hours. Note on Support: Daytime shifts benefit from a large team and heavy backup; evening shifts run leanly, requiring a provider who is comfortable utilizing on-call physician support while functioning as the lone APP on the floor.
Located at our Main Hospital Duties: Clinical Management: Handle all acute cardiology floor issues, routine rounding, and admissions. Emergency & Consultative Care: Respond to ER consults, work closely with the Emergency Department to evaluate chest pain patients, and manage new consultations. Collaboration: Act as the primary on-site link to the on-call cardiology physicians.
